Recycling

Waste recycling – for the sake of environmental protection

Waste recycling is the process consisting in reusing waste to produce a new product. Since one of the main objectives of our activity is to protect the natural environment, we focus on ecological solutions in the area of pollution reduction and, in addition to the disposal of hazardous waste, we also deal with recycling.

Our activity for the environmental protection allows to:
• recover raw materials of metals and plastics so as to reduce the consumption of natural resources;
• provide secondary raw materials for the production of metal and plastic products;
• reduce economic dependence on primary raw materials.

Cable recycling – a method to recover valuable metals

Our company is distinguished by more than twenty years of experience in cable recycling. Metals used for their production are widely used in industry, and the demand for them is constantly growing. The cable recycling process enables the effective recovery of copper and aluminium – their strength means that despite processing, they do not lose their most important qualities. Acquiring these raw materials from secondary sources allows not only to save natural resources, but also results in a significant reduction in pollution generated during the process of metal mining. In order to support the process of copper and aluminium recovery, we also purchase copper cables and aluminium cables, which we then use for recycling. We also recycle cables, such as gel-filled or fibre optic cables.

Environmental protection

The Rado company holds all the required permits and licences to pursue waste processing activities for the purpose of environmental compensation, which allows to limit the consumption of natural/primary raw materials and to extend their life.

We care about the environment

Material recycling – an effective method of waste treatment

Material recycling – an efficient method of waste processing In order to process waste in an environmentally safe manner, we use the material recycling method. It is a recycling and recovery process leading to the production of materials suitable for reuse in the production of raw materials with qualities allowing to substitute for a primary raw material.

This is the most eco-friendly and efficient manner of waste management. It makes it possible to reduce the consumption of natural resources and energy necessary for their production and to reduce the level of emissions of harmful compounds into the environment.

Eco-friendly solutions in the operation of machines

In order to reduce the adverse environmental impact, we use modern machines – installations and filters with the high dedusting efficiency, allowing to reduce emissions of substances into the air. Thanks to the use of innovative solutions, dust emissions are reduced by up to 99.9%, which significantly determines the maintenance of the best possible air quality.

What kind of waste do we recycle?

Since the inception of the Company, we have been taking measures aimed at expanding our activity and recycling new types of waste. We started with the recycling of cables and telecommunications equipment – today, we also process electrical and electronic waste, brass water meters and multi-material waste. The following years will certainly bring the development of our skills and will allow us to extend the scope of processed waste.

What recovery and recycling processes do we implement?

We have obtained an entry in the BDO register of entities introducing products, products in packaging and managing waste under the number 000003636.

R3

Recycling or regeneration of organic substances which are not used as solvents (including composting and other biological transformation processes).

R4

Recycling or reclamation of metals and metal compounds.

R12

Exchange of waste for submission to any of the operations numbered R1 to R11.

The Rado company’s activities for the environmental protection allow to:

Recover raw materials of metals and plastics so as to reduce the consumption of natural resources

Provide secondary raw materials for the production of metal and plastic products

Reduce economic dependence on primary raw materials

ISO certificates

What permits do we rely on when recycling waste?

We hold all the required permits and licences to pursue waste processing activities for the purpose of environmental compensation, which allows to limit the consumption of natural/primary raw materials and to extend their life.

We have also obtained the status of a processing plant with regard to processing waste electrical and electronic equipment, mainly from our own process of disassembly of telecommunications and ICT exchanges as well as WEEE received from institutions and individual households.

We conduct our activity pursuant to the following decisions:
• Decision issued by the starost of the Mielec County regarding the permit for the production and processing of waste. Applies to Ławnica.
• Decision issued by the starost of the Mielec County regarding the permit for waste collection. Applies to Ławnica.
• Decision – integrated permit for running waste treatment installations, including processing of waste electrical and electronic equipment, PCBs and telecommunications and power cables in Mielec.
• Entry in the BDO register under number 000003636.

Activity pursuant to the ISO standard – quality guarantee

We supervise and implement our production processes based on the implemented and certified Quality Management System according to PN ISO 9001:2015 and the Environmental Management System according to PN EN ISO 14001:2015.

The implementation of the requirements of the above-mentioned standards has been confirmed by the audits carried out by the accredited certification body “Dekra”.

The implementation of the environmental management system makes it possible to carry out environmental protection activities and respond to changes in environmental conditions in line with social and economic needs. It is aimed at reducing the adverse effects of industry and limiting the use of natural resources.
